About Our Licenses

• All images on this site are licensed, not sold. A license gives you specific rights to use an image for defined purposes, while copyright remains with the photographer. Licenses are non‑exclusive and non‑transferable.

Hybrid Editorial & Limited Commercial License

• Most images are offered under a Hybrid Editorial/Commercial license. This combines traditional editorial rights with carefully limited commercial use, giving you flexibility for real‑world projects without the cost of full advertising rights.
  

What you can do

• You may use licensed images to: Illustrate articles, blog posts, magazines, newspapers and documentaries (online and print). Use inside books, reports, white papers, academic or NGO publications. Use in corporate and NGO materials such as brochures, internal documents, presentations and websites. Post on social media, where the image supports or illustrates content rather than directly advertising a product. 

Unless stated otherwise on the image page, usage is:

• Limited by geography, Non‑exclusive, For a defined period (typically 1–5 years) shown at checkout.
  

What you cannot do

• This hybrid license does not allow: Advertising campaigns (online or offline) whose primary aim is to sell or promote a product, service or political cause. Product packaging, labels or point‑of‑sale displays. Use as a logo, trademark or brand identifier. Resale or redistribution as stock photography, templates or downloadable content. Any use that suggests personal endorsement by a recognisable person in the image, without an appropriate model release.
